Theatrical Stocking Stuffers

T’was the week before Christmas, and all through the town, all of the loved ones you’re visiting, and family is inbound. Parties to attend, and meals to be cooked, presents to wrap; make sure noone is overlooked. One thing left to do, and it’s not too tough; find items for the stockings that need to be stuffed.

Ah yes, the tradition of filling stockings…  If you’re struggling with ideas for theatrical stocking stuffers for of your beloved actor/actress or theatre technician, have no fear, for I have some ideas for you.

1. Highlighters

Highlighters are great for highlighting parts in scripts.  I would personally choose a set that does not bleed through the pages like this set made by GTL ACCU Gel created for highlighting in Bibles.  They comes in a variety of colors (yellow, blue, purple, green, pink, and orange), which is great for color coding lights, sound, characters, costuming, etc.  They also come with in a plastic sleeve.

2. Customized Writing Utensil

Scripts and collections of scripts are great for auditions and monologues! 5. Erasers

While cap and small hand held erasers may be the norm, I personally prefer the Pentel Clic Retractable Eraser with Grip.  Yes, they may be a bit pricier, but they erase so much cleaner than other erasers, without smudging.  Even better, they’re latex free (great for those of us with latex allergies), won’t tear your paper,and are refillable (yay for the environment). They come in red, blue, and black.  

6. Pins

Pins make great stocking stuffers, plus, they’re cool for putting on backpacks, satchels, jackets, lapels, etc.  They’re a great way of showing of that theatrical flare and there’s an endless supply to choose from, so you can choose new ones every year for stocking stuffers!

7. Notepad/Journal

Whether for journaling, taking notes, or organizing a show, there are some pretty awesome notepads available! These are so cute, you might need to snag an extra so that you’ve got another gift for that birthday that might be right around the corner!

8. Stickers

How about stickers or bumper stickers? These drama mask stickers would be super cute for scrapbooking, calendars, arts, DIY crafts, or journaling.  They come in a pack of fifty and measure 1″ each.  Another great choice is this I Love Musical Theatre vinyl decal that would be great either as a bumper sticker or decoration for a locker, laptop, or notebook.  It measures 2″ x 8″.

9. Sticky Notes
